Shots and Their Purpose

15 Nov

There are a whole range of camera angles and techniques that directors commonly use. Each of these shots has a common purpose that they are commonly employed for.

Look at the 5 snapshots from The Wrong Trousers. Name:

1. The type of shot and,

2. the purpose of the shot (what is the shot used to show?)

Type of shot and purpose

High Angle Shot – to see how high they are above the ground and allow you to see the penguin (Feathers McGraw) riding Wallace

Dutch Tilt – Disorientation; creates a feeling of nausea or vertigo given that Wallace is so high. May also add some depth to the shot.

Wide Shot – Shows the subject in the environment

Now do the same for the following five snapshots (don’t do the last example again; I can’t remove it from this gallery is all…)

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is important and everything.
Nevertheless think about if you added some great pictures or video clips to give
your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this blog
could definitely be one of the very best in its niche.

    Great blog!
